Rescue

The physical shelter is the heart of our organization and there’s always something to be done!

Cleaning at the rescue happens daily between 9 AM and 12 PM. We need volunteers to:

clean the kennels
clean the cat rooms
clean individual cages
administer medications
wash dishes
do laundry

Throughout the day, we need volunteers to

walk dogs
do office work
socialize with the animals
transport animals to/from veterinary appointments
do laundry

Each evening, between 3:00-5:30 PM, we need volunteers to help

take the dogs outside
freshen kennels
feed dogs dinner
top off cat food and water dishes
administer medications
wash dishes
do laundry

Thrift Shop

Love animals, but allergic to some? Join us at the Super Heroes Humane Society Thrift Shop!

As a thrift shop volunteer, you’ll be sorting through donations, cleaning/pricing/displaying merchandise, working the register, and providing great customer service to our shoppers!

The more volunteers we have, the more hours the store can be open to generate revenue. Join our team!

Fundraiser Events

Throughout the year we have various fundraising events. We regularly need volunteers to staff tables, transport animals, and make baked goods.

Fundraising events get our name out in the community and are a great way to let people know what we do. Help us spread the word!

Board of Directors Service

Super Heroes Humane Society is currently recruiting members to serve on our board of directors. The board meets monthly, member terms are 2 years, and members are expected to be actively engaged with directing the success of the organization through responsibilities such as committee membership, participation in events, and donor cultivation. We are looking for individuals with the following skill sets:

-small business management
-nonprofit management
-fundraising/development
-human resources management
-accounting/bookkeeping
-legal expertise
-grant writing
